Tom, Dave, and John, thanks for the input.

Finally got my 6 and 2m antennas up yesterday and played a little with the
ft847 on ft8. Looks like I can decode nicely along with get out. Had a
number of decodes on 2m locally and a couple of dx on 6m this morning.

The surprise was looking at the pskreporter site and seeing that ve4at
(over 800 miles) received me on 10m last night. That was an oops on my part
as I am only using a old Shakespeare 11m antenna for receive on hf right
now, not even tuned for any bands. Luckily I had the power turned below
5watts on the 847 😀

I will be available in the mornings at 7:30 if anyone wants to play and
help me tweak this up some. Using another radio to tweak the sound and it
seems to be ok but still want to make sure.

The goal is to get out as a rover in two weeks and operate.
