MIVUS members,

I will be attending CSVHF, and I’m looking for anyone that wants to ride share to the event on Thursday, and back on Sunday. It looks like a 10-11 hour ride. Rooms are still available.

> On behalf of the Central States VHF Society I invite you to attend our 53rd annual CSVHF Society conference to be held in Lincoln, Nebraska. Our last visit to Lincoln was 31 years ago, 1988, for our very successful 22nd annual conference. Lincoln is centrally located in the USA and is within an easy day or two driving distance of most centrally located USA cites. Lincoln also features a major airport.

The conference will feature all of the activities that previous conferences have had including technical presentations, antenna range testing, preamp measurements, vendor exhibits, both a VHF101 and a Microwave101 educational seminar for those who may be new to weak signal operations, Rover Row, Dish Row, luncheons with hosted speakers, a family program for non-hams, a Saturday night banquet, and a VHF/UHF/Microwave swap fest. In addition, the conference offers a great opportunity to socialize with like minded weak signal VHF+ operators.

> Please note the following important dates and updated information:
> The conference hotel booking rate is good up through July 10. You can find the link to the hotel reservation at http://www.csvhfs.org/ , then click on the Annual Conference tab near the top.
> You can register for the conference and food items (i.e., Thursday evening buffet, Friday and Saturday lunches, and Saturday evening banquet) up though July 15th. After that date we need to forward our food numbers to the hotel. You will still be able to register for the conference itself after that date, but not for food items.
> The deadline for papers and presentations has been extended to June 22. Please consider sharing your interests in our great hobby by writing a paper for our Proceedings. Full information can be found on the CSVHFS website at http://2019.csvhfs.org/index.php/guidance-documents/authors .
> The conference timeline and agenda has been set and can be found on our website at http://2019.csvhfs.org/ then click on Conference Info near the top. As "life" does happen, please expect some changes as we move towards conference time.
> For those participating in this years States Above, please send your States totals to Vince, K0SIX at mnvinnie at hotmail.com .
> This year we are featuring both a VHF101 and a Microwave101 educational seminar on Saturday for those who may be new to weak signal operations. This is an outstanding opportunity for those newer to VHF+ to learn about the fun that we have above 50 MHz. Please share this information who may be interested.
> As you, our members, are our greatest PR tool please share this information with your local clubs (VHF and non-VHF) and bring a friend with you to the conference.
