The annual meeting on the Michigan VHF-UHF Society has been called by 
its president, Dave, KF8QL for 11:00 AM, on August 19, 2017 at the 
"Spark in the Park" event, held at the Home School Building gym,  5625 
Burlingame SW, Wyoming, Michigan.

The meeting is tucked in the middle of the Spark in the Park, which is a 
free event. More information at:

And now a side note.

The Spark in the Park, or a Science Fair for Amateur Radio, is a free 
event sponsored by ten west Michigan clubs. There should be around 400 
folks throughout this morning event. (Note, it has been an afternoon 
event, start time is now 9:00 AM).  Those of us active in weak signal 
would like to get more people to join us in the higher frequencies. This 
is chance to exhibit to others what we can do. Dave, KF8QL and Bob, 
K8DOG have shown off their rover vehicles. if you have one, bring it 
over and show it off in the parking lot. If you have a higher frequency 
home-brew antenna, or a home built amplifier of any type, bring it over, 
and grab a table and show it to the crowds. Erv, K8EB brought one of his 
water cooled amps over. Impressive item. Please think what you can bring 
to "Show N Tell". SDR items, Raspberry Pi, whatever, take it along. Oh, 
there is no charge for a table. (This is not a hamfest, no selling of 
used equipment). There will be some "Made in Michigan" folks there.
