<p>Don't know if a low power station on 143.9 MHz with an antenna @ 100,000 <br>
feet in SE Indiana can be heard here in SW Michigan, but perhaps some <br>

The UC Cube Cats in cooperation with the UC Amateur Radio Club will be <br>
launching a High Altitude Balloon tomorrow April 9 at 12:00 PM from <br>
Rising Sun Indiana.<br>
<br>
The balloon and its payload are anticipated to reach 90,000-100,000ft.<br>
The payload will be beaconing on APRS on 144.39 MHz as W8YX-11 (With a <br>
backup tracker identifying as W8YX-6)<br>
<br>
there will also be an FM SSTV downlink at 431.000MHz.<br>
<br>
The ground team will be actively chasing the balloon throughout the <br>
afternoon.<br>
<br>
You can track us on the ground as ND8D-1 (RF) and ND8D-10(TCP/IP).<br>
<br>
If you receive/demod the APRS or SSTV beacon let us know!<br>
<br>
Send an email to krewac@mail.uc.edu. Let us know where you were and what <br>
setup you used to receive from the balloon, also send us any pictures <br>
you receive from the balloon.<br>
