[Mich VHF UHF Society] 10 GHz Beacon

Hi Chuck/all,

Maybe I'm biased, but I wonder if MIVUS has any friends around the hilly ridge running through Waterloo-Chelsea-Pinckney-Brighton-Milford.  That ridge is usually a couple hundred feet above surrounding terrain, and goes on for miles, mostly away from urban noise.

Full disclosure... I can hear stations north, east, and south no problem, but can never hear west of Brighton, and I suspect it's due in part to that bunch of earth.  Maybe I'm wrong about that, but it would be nice to make it part of the solution instead of part of the problem. :-)

Gedas:

The Downeast 3-watter is nominally drivable by 10 dBm, which I think I have
from the VHFdesign board.
Will see.

P.S. Is anybody interested in hosting my (built) (30-W) 1296 beacon? My
location is hopeless for it.

My quite effective 144.288 beacon is shut down until tropo season returns.
