[Mich VHF UHF Society] Gigaparts contest is now for the IC-9700

As usual, they left out the 222 MHz band.  No mention in the brochure of a transverter port so you could add a transverter for the 222 and/or 900 MHz bands either.

I kind of forgot about the IC-9700, but I see the Gigaparts contest (https://gigaparts.net/sweepstakes/) is now for one. (It looks like a 7300 but refit for VHF/UHF; it is direct sampling on UHF/VHF, and 311-371Mhz IF sampled on 1.2Ghz.)

 

Based on that I'm guessing that the radio will be available in the next few months. Would make a sweet upgrade for my station if I won...
