[Mich VHF UHF Society] ARRL September VHF Contest logs deadline

All,

This is just a reminder that beginning with the ARRL September VHF Contest
there began shortened log submission deadlines for the majority of ARRL
Contests.

In summary, ARRL VHF Contests now have a 10-day log deadline (beginning
with the September VHF contest) - and ARRL HF Contests now have a 5 day log
deadline (beginning with November Sweepstakes).

Noting that the September VHF Contest announcement published in August QST
still showed the previous 30-day deadline (the new deadlines were being
written as August QST went to press), and considering the impact of the
devastating weather events in late August and early September affecting all
persons (including many VHF'ers) in the southern and southeastern states,
accomodation will be made to accept any September VHF contest log still
received through October 1. The web app will still say that the log has
been received after deadline, but it will be accepted. Same with paper log
postmarks - we will still accept them with postmark showing up to October 1.

ARRL VHF Contests starting with the 2018 January VHF Contest will be
processed with a 10-day deadline (excepting anyone who seeks extension as
permitted under the new guidelines).
