Hey James,

I received a call from Joe WD8USA late yesterday after I left for the day.

Before I call him back, did you participate with him and can you give him
any pointers on electronic filing of his contest log within the 14 day
deadline using the web app at http://contest-log-submission.arrl.org/ ?

Below was my post to the W6YX VHF Reflector yesterday, with a sample log
for people to emulate if desired.

Let me know if this is something you can assist him with or if he needs
assistance from me in some fashion?

Thanks and 73,

Bart W9JJ

All,

The ARRL "222 MHz and Up Distance Contest" is in the books - how'd you do?
Send in your results...

The log deadline is 14 days.

Some have asked what a Cabrillo log header and QSO line might look
like for this event, so below is an example.

The event doesn't expect to find RST in your QSO lines (just like
other VHF contest logs don't show RSTs), so if you are rolling your
own just show calls and 6-digit-grid-locators in each line).

Single QSO example follows:

START-OF-LOG:
LOCATION: CT
CALLSIGN: W9JJ
CLUB: North East Weak Signal Group
CONTEST: ARRL-222
CATEGORY-OPERATOR: SINGLE-OP
CATEGORY-BAND: ALL
CATEGORY-MODE: MIXED
CATEGORY-POWER: LOW
CATEGORY-STATION: FIXED
CATEGORY-TRANSMITTER: ONE
CLAIMED-SCORE: 266
OPERATORS: W9JJ
NAME: Bart Jahnke
ADDRESS: 225 Main St
ADDRESS-CITY: Newington
ADDRESS-STATE-PROVINCE: CT
ADDRESS-POSTALCODE: 06111
ADDRESS-COUNTRY: USA
QSO: 222 PH 2017-08-06 1714 W9JJ FN31un N1SV FN42ep
END-OF-LOG:

Some usual defaults were tossed in above like mode, power,
transmitters, etc, but just the basics are all that are really needed.

Contact me with any questions at my ARRL address: w9jj at arrl.org

Thanks for participating!
